HEMUS variety – obtained through individual selection and branch selection. There are rounded tufts, over 50 cm high, with collected, about 450 – 500 upright and strong flowering stems with dark purple flowers. Medium early flowering. It has good rooting.

 

Variety DRUZHBA – created by hybridization. It has a powerful, neat tuft, up to 60 cm high with about 617 flowering stems and purple petals.

 

SEVTOPOLIS variety – created by chemical mutagenesis, combined with clonal selection. The tufts have a collected habit, up to 64 cm high, have rounded, upright, up to 303 flowering stems, with a dark purple color of the corolla.

 

Variety RAYA – created by radiation mutagenesis. It has a powerful, upright tuft with up to 508 flowering stems and light purple petals.

 

JUBILEE variety – created by hybridization. It has rounded tufts, erect, up to 56 cm high with about 460 flowering stems, with a dark purple color.

 

In all varieties the tufts reach 60-80 cm in diameter and 60-90 cm in height. The leaves are perennial, do not fall off in winter.

 

The growing season lasts about 243 days, usually starting to bloom in the second half of June and flowering lasts from 22 to 40 days (but this period is specific to each variety).

 

The essential oil is freely deposited in the labial glands and glandular trichomes – mostly on the cups, a little on the upper part of the flower stalk and the least on the bracts.
